The Nakhjavani School is currently undergoing a significant infrastructural upgrade. By the end of September 2023, the school will have the following features:
- A new toilet block, with greater toilet capacity and a clearer separation of male and female toilets as well as toilets for younger and older children.
- New grass lawns, replacing the existing earth ground, along with low-maintenance and insect-repellent flowers such as marigolds and lavender, to beautify the environment.
- A new entrance path, to create greater exclusivity and security for the school, and more effective separation from the farm complex on which the school is situated.
- A new school boundary fence, to demarcate the perimeter of the school and improve security.
- New benches and paths within the school premises, to enhance children’s enjoyment of the beautiful outdoor environment.
- An upgraded playground, with swings, a climbing frame, slides, and other features for the enjoyment and physical activity of children.
- Solar panels at the school office, to facilitate the increasing use of IT by the principal and staff for planning and delivering lessons and managing school administration.
